Moving to Florida was a big endeavor for me, and just in the past few months I’ve created friendships and ties with some unbelievable vendors, venues, coordinators, event planners, bloggers and couples who have made this job so much better to be a part of. When Jen, owner of The Florida Girl blog reached out to me to help with her Blogger/Influencer summer event, I just couldn’t be more excited.
First I was introduced to the mood board that, let’s be real, was RIGHT up my alley. When she showed me the hedge wall with the balloon detail being created by Blue Lime Events, I knew exactly that this event was going to be: nothing short of perfection.
We created a “sip sip soirée” foam core cut out for the girls to have as a backdrop for their photos, custom acrylic signage for decor, and a two piece invitation suit of invite and RSVP to complete the look. A little side note: when it comes to foam core decoration with my calligraphy, I look no further than Speed Pro Pittsburgh. They were kind enough to send their work down to me in So Flo and I haven’t worked with a better group of people when it comes to this aspect of design.
For the acrylic we kept it simple. Do not get me wrong, I love a good painted background behind the words when I write on acrylic, but when you can get away with simplicity amplifying elegance, this is the way to go. White writing with a beautiful clear background really does a lot for a look, especially when there is already so many beautiful bold colors going into the rest of the designs and looks of the event itself and the venue. Grandview Public Market has so many esthetically pleasing attributes already, so the decor didn’t need to try to compete with that.
When it came down to who was attending and what vendors needed involved, Jen hit all the check marks. This was beyond successful and I can’t wait to work with these fabulous ladies and vendors in the future. Want to see more of what perfection looks like?
